The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection has been sailing now for a few weeks and I wanted to just give you a quick update on what guests are saying so far. As with many new businesses, there are some hiccups when you are brand new. Cruising is no different. It may take a couple sailings to work out all the kinks. But what I'm hearing from guests that have sailed with the Ritz so far is that the sailings have been overwhelmingly positive! Just minor things that need to be ironed out. That's a great sign! First let's talk about the good things: Cuisine: Cuisine has been spectacular! There are many restaurants on board. Try as many of the restaurants out as you can! Service: The Ritz is known for having that Gold Standard service so it's no surprise they go this right from the get go. Guests have been reporting that the staff is super friendly. They remember everyone's name and just as important, they remember what everyone's choice of drink is! Suite accommodations have been perfect! Hey, it's the Ritz Carlton so you can expect your suite to luxurious! WiFI: Has been strong! They have an upgraded wifi service you can purchase but what I'm hearing is that the free wifi that's included works very well. Even out on sea days! The spa. The cooking classes. All thumbs up! Entertainment: Guest that are use to traveling on bigger ships with Broadway type shows are going to be disappointed. You typically won't get big productions on any type of small ship cruising and river cruising. But you will get live music. In house jazz musicians and local artists perform daily. This has been a positive! Some of the negatives: Guests have been reporting that the app on board hasn't always been working properly. But after a few sailings, this should be fixed. Super minor! Some food portions may be on the smaller side. But remember, it's all inclusive so you can order all you want! A few issues with the shore excursions. Over time, this will be fixed. Plus there are many other options for excursions. Contact me and we can discuss those. One of the benefits of working with a travel advisor! So to recap: I've received overwhelmingly positive feedback. You may hear some people that have more complaints than others. But reality is, some people either always like to complain or have one bad experience and it seems to ruin their trip. I would not put too much stock into any negative reviews if you come across anything online. The positive reviews outweigh any negative reviews. So, what I've heard over and over; the service, food, crew & ship have all been fantastic. I think those are really the most important factors and the Ritz seems to have gotten it right! I have no doubts that the small issues will be worked out fast. if you're on a sailing in the next few weeks or months, you're going to have a fabulous time! Get ready for a great adventure!
