YouTube Video Description↓

This is the first video for our new "Sailing Day" playlist, which features a day of ship departures in a select port. In this video taken at Miami on July 24, 1992, Peter Knego aims his brand new video camera at a quartet of cruise ships for the very first time. Those include Chandris Fantasy Cruises historic SS BRITANIS, Dolphin Cruise Line's informal SS DOLPHIN IV, Carnival Cruises then state-of-the-art FANTASY and Royal Caribbean's popular NORDIC EMPRESS. It was a Friday and all four of these ships were off to the Bahamas for the weekend to return the following Monday. All of them put together would just about equal the size of one of today's average Miami-based cruise ships. #ssbritanis #chandrislines #chandrisfantasycruises #ssdolphiniv #dolphincruiselines #carnivalfantasy #carnivalcruises #royalcaribbeancruises #nordicempress #classicships #smallercruiseships #oldships
