Join me on my solo cruise adventure aboard Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas, the newest and most innovative ship in their fleet! From the moment I left my hotel and grabbed my luggage with the help of my handy Cruise Junkie luggage tag holders (Amazon find!), the excitement began. As soon as I stepped onto the Royal Promenade, I was blown away by its grandeur. After a quick visit to the Windjammer buffet for a delicious embarkation day lunch, I was in for a treat with a plate full of lobster and seafood—definitely a perk during the ship’s inaugural season! I explored the incredible Boardwalk, had a tasty hotdog at the included hotdog stand, and marveled at the unique areas onboard. Dinner at the Solarium Bistro was a highlight—healthy, buffet-style small plates with an amazing view from the top of the ship. I also tried out the Escape Room, an exciting activity, and ended the day strolling through Central Park among lush greenery and beautiful sculptures.
