The second of the 'Railway Touring Company's 2011 'Dorset Coast Express' excursions on Tuesday 12th July. Following the disappointment of having only one locomotive on the first run, the 'DCE' did manage to run with two on this day. SR unrebuilt 'Battle of Britain'-class 4-6-2 No.34067 "Tangmere" worked the outward run from London Victoria to Weymouth and the newly-repaired BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70000 "Britannia" hauled the return to London Waterloo. Unfortunately, due to another fault on "Britannia", the train ran well over an hour late. Here 'Brit' is seen crossing the Redbridge Causeway between Totton and Southampton. I was unable to see "Tangmere" on the outer run.
