This is the 6th episode of theCruiseView's sailing onboard the Empress of the Seas. Unlike my other videos that feature the ship and let you enjoy the experience of being at sea without interruption, theCruiseView is a guided tour of the daily happenings during the cruise. This sailing features a return to the classic days of cruising with a voyage on the Empress of the Seas as she sails a 7 night Western Caribbean itinerary. Over the course of these 7 episodes you will get to see in detail every cruise compass, every main dining room menu, and all the happenings onboard during this voyage. This series will take you into the day to day experience of being onboard the Empress of the Seas with over 1,500 guests to experience every moment of life at sea and every festivity along the way. On today's episode the Empress of the Seas spends her second sea day of the voyage sailing back north. The morning was spent inside enjoying the unique brunch offered exclusively onboard the Empress of the Seas and a series of traditional Royal Caribbean activities. The afternoon shifted things outside to the pool deck with the International Sexiest Men Competition. Following dinner the ship came to life with the most enthusiastic International Parade of Flags in the entire fleet. Things then shifted from the Centrum to the Viking Crown Lounge for an intimate 70's Disco Inferno party. As we sailed into the night toward CocoCay in the Bahamas the lights of Florida could be seen off the port side while the Bahamas were visible on the starboard side. Since returning to the fleet the Empress of the Seas has been a part of history time and again. Delivering relief to St. Maarten and Key West after hurricanes, most recently she was the first ship to sail into Freeport Bahamas bringing some much needed relief after Hurricane Dorian. For today's interview I got to sit down with the Hotel Director, John Denton, to learn about what goes into these relief operations and how the Empress of the Seas takes on these important undertakings. Our episode doesn't end there though as we have another venue tour tonight, with the Empress of the Seas famous promenade deck.
