This Port Day Saved Our Sun Princess Cruise 😍 | Old San Juan

This port day in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico turned out to be one of the best days of our Sun Princess cruise — and honestly, we needed it. 😅 We start the day with a short walk from the port to Castillo San Cristóbal, where we explore one of the most impressive historic forts in the Caribbean. From there, we wander the colorful streets of Old San Juan, soaking in the history, architecture, and island vibes. Lunch was a total highlight at Cayo Caribe, a local favorite — and if you ever visit, you have to try the Crazy Shrimp Tacos 🌮🔥 They were hands-down some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. Back onboard the Sun Princess, we cool off with a stop at the Gelato shop, before finally scoring what we’ve been waiting for all cruise… a specialty dining reservation! Dinner at Umai Teppanyaki was excellent and absolutely worth the wait. With a late 10PM sailaway, we end the night on the top deck watching San Juan fade into the distance, movie playing on the big screen, and finally feeling like this cruise found its rhythm. 👉 If you’re cruising to Puerto Rico or sailing the Sun Princess, this is a day you won’t want to miss.
