THV "Patricia", "Queen Elizabeth" & "Balmoral" depart from Southampton - 05/01/2012
YouTube Video Descriptionβ
For my first video of 2012, we return to Southampton Docks to see the departure of two out of four cruise ships that in port on Thursday 5th January. This time last year, six cruise ships had been in the docks: Cunard's "Queen Victoria" & "Queen Elizabeth", P&O Cruises's "Arcadia", Saga Cruises's "Saga Ruby" and Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines's "Black Watch" and "Balmoral". This time, two of those ships were in again: "Queen Elizabeth" and "Balmoral". They were joined by P&O's "Oriana" and another 'Fred.Olsen' ship, M/S "Boudicca", the sister ship to "Black Watch". In this video, we see the departures of "Queen Elizabeth" on a short cruise to Le Harve & Hamburg and "Balmoral" on a cruise to Tenerife, the Caribbean, the USA, Cape Verde and Maderia. "Boudicca" would be heading for Madeira, Canaries, Morocco & Portugal whilst "Oriana" was bound for Oporto, Naples, Malta, Cairo/Giza, Suez Canal, Sharm El Sheikh, Muscat & Dubai. Both ships departed later on. Also seen in this video is the Trinity House Ship THV "Patricia".
