What a ride! We are at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination! In this video we are riding a special attraction Perfect Day at CocoCay offers, the Up Up & Away Helium Balloon experience! You may have seen some of our ride in our 'Perfect Day at CocoCay video' (we'll put the link below), but what makes this video special is that this is the unedited version! This is the uncut FULL ride through of the Up Up & Away Helium Balloon! We wanted to include this video incase you wanted to get an idea of the length of this excursion and the procedures going up and down on the balloon. Our balloon pilot also narrated our ride with a lot of very interesting information that we wanted to share with you! This excursion is approximately 10 minutes long from take off to landing and is an extra cost (not included in your cruise fare). Our ride was on a fairly windy day, so we only ascended a little over 200 ft in the air, where as on a mild day the balloon can travel up to 450 ft high! Our pilot did inform us, because the island is typically windy, it is common for the height to be adjusted. Even though we were not as high as possible, holy moly was the view breath taking! You can see absolutely everything on the island as well as your cruise ship and miles of beautiful Bahamian water! Matt even saw a shark or stingray (or some kind of aquatic life)!
