Valetta, Malta Cruise 2023. Self-guided WALKING TOUR of Valetta. Interesting city, what to expect 4K

We arrived in Valetta, another beautiful hot day. We turned left from wharves to walk up Crucifix Hill to come out in Floriana area. Floriana is a lovely area. If you wanted to go more directly to Valetta city center, you could turn right from wharves. Follow waterfront until you come to large steel structure through a hole in the wall on left, this is an elevator which will take you more directly to Upper Barrakka Gardens. We preferred the more scenic route, but it is more walking up hill. Valetta has some amazing architecture that has been ruled by many successive nations. there are 320 monuments in city area that depicts all this rich history. Valetta has the most concentrated number of monuments out of all cities in the world and it is listed on UNESCOs heritage. It was interesting to see that this tiny country has right hand drive vehicles. I have not read the history to see where this influence would have risen from. We enjoyed our walk in and around the city area, Upper Barrakka Gardens, Hastings Gardens, St Elmo's Fort (closed on the day we were there). Veletta's city gates, fortifications and walls are a marvel. Everything went smoothly in Valetta, again though there is a lack of public toilets.
