Creator's Key Takeaways

We had a lovely time. It was a nice city to ramble around.

I'm really glad we took the fininocular up cuz I wouldn't have been able to come up here with these steps.

All the restaurants around the square are lovely as well.

Creator's Tips & Advice

โœ“Check if Juliet's balcony is open before visiting, as it may be closed for events.
โœ“Consider taking the funicular up to Castel San Pietro instead of walking the steps.

YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

If you're looking for the best things to do in Verona, Italy, this video is for you! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น We're exploring the magnificent Verona Arena, taking in the views from Castel San Pietro and wandering the historic Old Town. If you're planning a Verona city break, this guide shows you the best spots to visit in an evening. We started our evening in Piazza Bra, the largest square in Verona which is home to the incredible Verona Arena. It's older than the Colosseum and still hosts huge concerts and opera festivals today! We explored the Old Town, including the main shopping street, Via Mazzini (stopping for some pick 'n' mix!), and the beautiful Piazza delle Erbe with its frescoes and market stalls. We also stopped by the famous Juliet's House (Casa di Giulietta). A massive tip for anyone visiting: check the opening times! We arrived just as it was closing so we missed the balcony, but we did see Romeo's House nearby. The highlight was taking the funicular up to Castel San Pietro. The sunset views over the city and the Adige River from the top are absolutely breathtaking. We finished our night soaking up the atmosphere in the vibrant city squares. We really enjoyed our time in Verona. It's a beautiful, walkable city with so much history. We hope this vlog helps you plan your own visit! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Read more about our visit to Verona here - https://curioustourists.com/verona-day-trip/ 00:00 Welcome to Verona 00:16 Piazza Bra & Verona Arena 01:15 Via Giuseppe Mazzini 03:11 Piazza delle Erbe 04:53 Juliet's Balcony 06:15 Dante Statue & Piazza dei Signori 08:28 Castelvecchio Bridge & Adige River 10:13 Funicular to Castel San Pietro 11:03 Sunset Views from Castel San Pietro 15:00 Our thoughts on Verona #verona #italy #citybreak #travelvlog #travel _________________________ We're Kolyn & Denis and we're The Curious Tourists! ๐ŸŒ We share our adventures around the world with you in our fun travel videos packed with our experiences, insights and lots of laughs.
