We’re back at The Wake but this time for dinner. This steak and seafood eatery on board the Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady has the most elegant feel of all the restaurants. You can get dressed up or roll in more casual, just make sure your appetite is ready to go. Once you’re seated you’ll get some rolls with garlic herb butter to smother on them, it’s soooo good!!!! You can always ask for more. Then the appetizers come out. Michael’s wedge salad was yummy! The greens had a nice snap to them and the flavors were well balanced. Definitely made our fair share of wedge salads when we got home. I had the Bone Marrow and Toast. I honestly wasn’t sure how to feel about this but from the first bite it was delicious. The toast was kind of dry but dipping it in the bone marrow made it so much better. We then got our New York Strip Steaks with Mushrooms, French Fries and twice Baked Mashed Potatoes. I don’t think we left anything untouched. The steak was well cooked and flavorful. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The French fries on this ship are always delicious and the twice baked mashed potatoes tasted great as well. Then came the desserts. The Meyer Lemon Cheesecake was tangy but tasty, the mini Baked Alaskan was adorable and a nice couple of bites and The Wake was packed full of Chocolate, Caramel and Hazelnut. You can get any or all of these and we think you should do all of them. Overall we highly recommend The Wake on your next trip. What food items look the best to you?
