We are in our first port of the cruise, in beautiful Roatan, Honduras. And one thing we love about cruising with Carnival is that they own the port of Mahogany Bay here... and there is a beautiful beach that you can enjoy completely for FREE! We enjoy the morning on a quiet ship as most people have disembarked into the port, have a nice lunch and then get off ourselves and head to the beach. This is a beautiful port! It is laid out nicely and is very well landscaped and manicured. There is a nice walking path to the beach and even a nature trail which we decided to take this time. Once at the beach, we grab a couple of loungers in the shade and take a dip in the cool Caribbean. All while we can view our ship nearby.
