As big fans of amusement parks as well, we made the decision to visit Walt Disney World during Covid. Was it still magical? Well, we break down our entire trip to share what it is like to Visit Walt Disney World During the Pandemic. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! If you have been tracking the opening of Walt Disney World during the pandemic, you know that there are several additional health and safety protocols. These include temperature checks for all guests before entering the parks and a mask requirement at all times, except while eating and drinking in a stationary position. We are happy to report that everyone abides by these regulations, and we felt completely safe during our visit. Physical distancing was also enforced with clear markers EVERYWHERE to allow for six feet of separation. This included the queues, restaurants, hotels, and stores. So, we felt completely safe at Walt Disney World during Covid. Overall, these enhanced safety measures did not detract from our fun. While at Walt Disney World during the pandemic, we were still able to enjoy our favorite attractions. During our visit, the crowds were considerably smaller than they would have been in pre-COVID times. Yes, a few of our favorite shows were not open, but the shorter wait times meant that we were able to ride all the popular attractions multiple times. We did miss things like Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage, character meet and greets, and the Happily Ever After fireworks display. While crowds were reduced, there were still significant wait times for the newer attractions. The brand new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway had a consistent hour plus wait, as did the Slinky Dog Coaster. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Splash Mountain also had longer lines than most of the other attractions. So, we timed our visits to these attractions at off-peak times to ensure that we didn’t wait too long. Only you can determine if visiting Disney during COVID is right for you. We took extra precautions by sanitizing our gear and hotel room every night. We also took sanitizing wipes with us to the parks and packed extra masks just in case. This is on top of all the great safety protocols that Disney has implemented within the parks and hotels. We currently have plans to return to the parks again with family and are looking forward to going to Disney during Covid.
