What to Wear on Excursions | Antarctic Explorer with Viking Expeditions

Planning a trip to Antarctica and wondering what to wear on excursions? In this video, I’ll talk you through exactly how to dress for the extreme conditions of the White Continent - covering everything from base layers and mid layers to insulation and outerwear. I travelled to Antarctica in early January 2025, when temperatures ranged between -1°C and 1°C (30°F to 34°F). However, with wind chill, some days felt much colder. That’s why layering correctly is essential for staying warm, dry and comfortable during your expedition.
