Date Filmed: October 24, 2020 Welcome to Port Canaveral (Florida’s #1 rated cruise port)! We suspect that we are on the cusp of the announcement of cruise resumption and we are so thrilled! We are so excited, that we thought we would spend they day at Port Canaveral to get in the cruising mood! We visit the neighboring Jetty Park which we have visited on multiple occasions to welcome or send ships off on their passing to the ocean! Today there are no cruise ships in port, but we still had fun going out on the pier and the beach at Jetty Park! Then we had a very new experience of the Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral! The Exploration Tower is a tourist attraction revolved around Port Canaveral. On a normal basis it includes a gift shop, cafe, exhibits, auditorium, and observation deck! Because of COVID, only the first floor gift shop and seventh floor observation deck are open. The view on the top floor is FANTASTIC! It gives you a great look at the whole port, helps you orient the different terminals, and provides sweeping views! Under normal circumstances this would be the perfect pre-cruise destination to get pumped for your sailing! We also checked out the new construction at Terminal 3 which will be Carnival’s new terminal to accommodate their newest vessel, Carnival Mardi Gras! Throughout the day we tested out our new camera equipment. Today we are using the ‘Sony ZV1’, ‘GoPro Max’, and ‘GoPro Hero9’! We also tested our new ‘Travor lapel mics’! We are trying to work out the kinks, so we will be fully prepared when we cruise again to give you the best footage possible! We hope you enjoyed coming to Port Canaveral with us today!
