A Glacier Broke Apart Right in Front of Me 😲❄️ Dawes Glacier Ice Calving Experience - Endicott Arm Welcome to my West Coast Trip Vlog Series which includes 2 cruises (Carnival Firenze Mexican Riviera Cruise & Carnival Luminosa Alaskan Cruise) and a day at California Adventure & Disneyland! On this vlog, we arrive at our next stop: Endicott Arm Fjord in Alaska! I booked an excursion through Carnival Adventures: Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer. We were originally scheduled to go to Tracy Arm Fjord but due to recent landslides, the Captain determined it was safer to go Endicott Arm Fjord instead. Endicott Arm Fjord in Alaska is a stunning, 30-mile-long glacial waterway, part of the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness, known for towering cliffs, icebergs, and wildlife, culminating in the powerful Dawes Glacier that calves dramatically into the sea, making it a popular destination for scenic cruises. Visitors witness breathtaking scenery, seals on ice floes, waterfalls, and opportunities to see bears, mountain goats, and whales, all while experiencing the thunderous sounds of glacial calving. We were very fortunate to experience ice calving up close, which I caught on video. I also got try a glacerita, which is made with ice from a glacier. I highly recommend this excursion, at least once, to experience the beauty of the fjord and how close you get to a glacier. Video doesn't do it justice. You need to see it and experience it with your own eyes on this excursion. After spending some time at Dawes Glacier, we headed back to the Carnival Luminosa ship, making a stop at a smaller glacier. Back on board the Luminosa, I went to Tea Time, attended the Deal or No Deal shows and ended the day with dinner in the main dining room. Have you been to Endicott Arm or Tracy Arm fjords?
