A (Not So) Perfect Day at CocoCay | Thrill Waterpark & and Oasis Lagoon Cabana

After being struck down with a stomach bug, I woke up feeling well enough to head out to CocoCay for the day. First, Rider had to take his Covid test so he could disembark the following day. This is mandatory for all unvaccinated guests. We knew we couldn't get off the ship to CocoCay before he took his test. We first headed to our Oasis Lagoon Cabana to check in. We had both the Cabana and Thrillpark passes that we purchased on sale during @RoyalCaribbean Black Friday Sale. The original plan was to keep one or the other as we weren't sure my son was going to like the Waterpark (he's only 6), but I forgot to cancel the Cabana online before the cutoff date. Being that I had been sick, I was thankful, I never cancelled it. I was very weak and the weather was crappy so it was nice to have a place to rest. Unfortunately, our service was horrendous. Actually, our service was non-existent which you will see in the video. I cannot recommend the Oasis Lagoon Cabanas after our experience. It's simply not worth the money. Get a Beach Bed! It's a better value and if you aren't going to have service anyway, you shouldn't pay for it. My son LOVED the Thrill Waterpark. If you have a child between 42" to 47", there is still enough for them to do. I do recommend getting there early if possible to get some loungers. Free Loungers were IMPOSSIBLE to find. I finally found 1 by the Wave Pool and I was able to put our belongings there. Loungers didn't start to free up until 3pm. Did I mention the weather was crappy??? LOL This was by far the worst weather we've ever had at CocoCay and we have been there a lot. We never saw the sun and the wind was intense. All Shore Excursions that were water related were cancelled (Kayak, Jet Ski etc.) and the ballon never went up. However, a bad day at CocoCay is still better than any day at home. We had a great time regardless and thankful we got to enjoy one last day of our cruise before heading home.
