A couple of hours ago I was standing in a line waiting for a shuttle bus to get back to this fabulous ship the MSC Preziosa. It was raining and I was in Hamburg, Germany. The first sign that I had that anything was wrong was a message that I got from my friends that said ‘’They’ve got to close one of the roads by the port for 2 hours because they’re doing a bomb disposal. My friends had decided to head back to the ship before us so they were on a bus ahead of us, they got on to the but about 30 minutes before us. You’d think that would have meant they’d have got back to the ship before us too, but nope. This really was one of the most random and weird journeys I’ve ever done. At the time my friends thought they’d got on the bus just at the right time as they’d missed most of the rain, but it turned out their bus was definitely not the one to be on. I wasn’t really worried at this point, I just thought ‘oh they’re closing a road, no biggie there will be other roads I’m sure’. I made a couple of friends in the line so just chatted to them and didn’t think much more of it. This was definitely one of the weirdest cruise ship journeys I've been on. It happened on 17th October 2022 in the port of Hamburg, Germany.
