We love Mahahual, Costa Maya and always stay at Big Mama Restaurant and Beach Resort. You can hire locals along the beach to go snorkeling etc at a fraction of the cost for an excursion booked on the cruise ships. There are dozens of restaurants along the Mahahual strip but we have settled at Big Mama every time. The massages are one hour full body deep tissue and can cost between $25 - $35 depending on the amount of ships in port.
