I've just got back from an AMAZING cruise on the brand new luxury tour operator APT river cruise ship Mekong Serenity. I stayed in a deluxe balcony cabin on deck one (#109) and this video offers a tour of that cabin and an inside look. It's a lovely cabin - deluxe, stylish with a great bed, bathroom, toiletries and balcony. I look at the sheets and mattress as well as the decor, plug sockets, lighting and storage space, including the bedside tables and objets d'art. There's lots of different seating areas in the cabin as well as a lot of wardrobe storage space, although there is no space to fit a case under the bed. Each passenger gets a gold silk kimono to wear for the voyage instead of a toweling robe (a lovely touch) and there's a free minibar. All drinks on the cruise are free, apart from a few premium ones. I particularly love the marble effect bathroom - it's huge, with a great and massive showers and particularly nice toiletries. And the views from the balcony over the Mekong River as you sail from Vietnam to Cambodia (or vice versa) is stunning.
