Welcome to the Aquaventure Waterpark located at Atlantis on Paradise Island in the beautiful Bahamas! Aquaventure is a waterpark attached to the Atlantis Hotel Resort but day guests are welcome with the purchase of a day guest ticket. This Aquaventure is a very highly themed waterpark inspired by styles such as Mayan temples, lost cities, and ruins. It is surrounded and interweaved with lush vegetation that really makes you feel like you are on a jungle adventure! Beyond the aesthetics, this waterpark is jammed packed with many thrilling and unique slides! There are two main structures of Aquaventure that are both landmarks and locations for the main slides. The first location is the “Mayan Temple” which includes body slides such as “Jungle Slide” (mild and open air), “Challenger” (high-speed twin racers), and “Leap of Faith” (60ft vertical drop). Also within the “Mayan Temple” is the “Serpent” tube slide where you twist and turn into a clear tunnel that is opposite to a viewable aquarium! The second location is called “Power Tower”. Power tower includes tube rides such as “The Drop”, “The Falls, and “The Surge”! Power Tower also includes “The Abyss” which is a body slide in full darkness that feeds into an underground cave/aquarium. Several of the “Power Tower” slides feed into the “Current” which is a rapid style lazy river. The park also includes a traditional lazy river, a splash pad area for children, pools, and small kid slides that feed into the pools. Unfortunately for this visit we were unable to ride all of the attractions. We experienced “Jungle Slide”, “Challenger”, “Serpent”, “The Drop” “The Surge” and the “Current” rapid river! Throughout this park there are also several bars and eating establishments you can take part in for an additional cost.
