If you're arriving by cruise ship and want to explore without spending a dime, you’re in the right place. In this video, I’ll show you everything we did in Bimini for free. Bimini is a tiny island in the Bahamas—just 7 miles long and only about 700 feet wide in some spots. You can travel the length of the island in 20–30 minutes by golf cart. It’s small but full of beauty, history, and charm. Fun fact: Bimini is the closest Bahamian island to the U.S., only 50 miles from Miami. During Prohibition, it was a key stopover for smuggling alcohol into the U.S., which boosted the island’s economy and population. Kayak Beach – A Free Beach Day From the cruise pier, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Kayak Beach, or you can take the free shuttle that runs all day. The beach is free to access and offers soft sand, turquoise water, and food trucks serving drinks and local snacks. Loungers and umbrellas are available for rent, but you can keep it free by laying your towel on the sand and enjoying the view. Free Shuttle Tour After the beach, we hopped on the free island shuttle to see more of Bimini. It’s a fun ride and completely free for cruise passengers. The shuttle stops at Resorts World Bimini—a resort complex with a casino, restaurants, bars, and a hotel. Just outside is Fisherman’s Village, a small shopping plaza with souvenirs and local goods. Even if you don’t plan to buy anything, it’s worth browsing. After enjoying the beach, the shuttle ride, and exploring Resorts World—all without spending a single dollar—we headed back to the ship for lunch. So if you're visiting Bimini on a cruise and want to make the most of your time on a budget: Kayak Beach The free island shuttle Resorts World Thanks for watching!
