Breakfast with Mickey, Macarons, Mini Golf & Don Don Donki?! | Fun Disney Day at Aulani

We kicked off our morning at Disney’s Aulani Resort with an amazing character breakfast at Makahiki, where we met Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Chip, and Dale! Great food, tropical vibes, and of course—that famous POG juice. 🧃🌺 After breakfast, we headed straight to the ocean for some water time, followed by a few relaxing laps in Aulani’s lazy river. Pure vacation bliss! Then it was time to change into dry clothes and check out something totally new to us: the DVC-exclusive Mimosa & Macaron class. This hands-on event was such a fun surprise—we even got to make our own macarons with Aulani’s head pastry chef! From there, we grabbed a quick snack at Mama’s Snack Stop, and set out to fuel up the car… but a surprise stop changed the rest of our day. We spotted the massive Don Quijote store, Don Don Donki, and just had to go in. If you’ve never been, trust us—it’s an experience! With no solid plans for the evening (and the Gardners are always up for a challenge), we booked a last-minute tee time at Tropics Mini Golf… but what happened when we got there? You’ll have to watch and see! ⛳😆 We wrapped up the day hoping to finally sit down for a meal at Mekiko Cantina, after it was unexpectedly closed the night before.
