Date Filmed: August 3, 2021 Hello Happy Travelers! Let’s Party On The Mardi! Welcome to Carnival’s newest ship, Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras’ first sailing was from Port Canaveral on July 31st, 2021 and we were on this sailing to bring you all the new content! Mardi Gras is the first of it's kind, bringing new innovation to both Carnival Cruise Line and the Cruise Industry as a whole! Mardi Gras is Carnival's first mega ship and now the largest in their fleet! It features six uniquely themed zones that will house an array of new restaurants, entertainment, lounges, and activities! Mardi Gras also is honored with the title of the first LNG ship in North America! We are on the first cruise ship (standard revenue sailing) to depart from Port Canaveral since the closure! Today is day four, Mardi Gras' first stop In San Juan Puerto Rico! We started the day with a hearty breakfast at Guy's Burger, and it was as filling as it was delicious! Once off the ship, we had the best time exploring the sights with our friends Dee and Jay from @parodeejay ! They showed us around and took us to umbrella street, pigeon park, and the cat sanctuary! I don't need to tell you which part was Matt’s favorite! (😻) Then once onboard, we had a scrumptious dinner at Emeril’s Bistro 1396! Emeril’s is located in the French Quarter and features a New Orleans cajun creole menu by celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse! We also caught the Flying Scottsman at his show in Grand Central, and it is a must see! He is a fantastic cruise director!
