Our Port Canaveral sail-away day included a short drive from Orlando, as we parked at the cruise terminal for the very first time! The embarkation process was an overall smooth experience and we were onboard in no time! We give a cabin tour of the newly designed Mardi Gras balcony cabins, which includes a shower door for the first time on Carnival! After the cabin tour, we purchased the drink package and got our first Carnival signature Funship drink. Then it was on to the sail-away! 3 ships sailed-away before Mardi Gras: Carnival Elation, Carnival Magic and Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas! After the Mardi Gras sail-away, we had a wonderful dinner at Cucina Del Capitano, and fished off with a Italian coffee with Amaretto and a Cappuccino & Baileys! A very fun-filled first day aboard the beautiful Carnival Mardi Gras!! Come join us!
