Creator's Key Takeaways
that was amazing that was so much better than i thought it was gonna be and i thought it was gonna be great but that was a really fun time
we think you should do it if you're especially if you're a thrill person and you're a coaster person yeah i think the experience will be worth it to you
this venue is not ready for prime time now the obvious caveat that this is a brand new ship this is the first sailing and this is a brand new restaurant never been done before
i wouldn't pay a premium to go there that's okay we are not upset about it at all no

Date Filmed: August 1, 2021 Hello Happy Travelers! Let’s Party On The Mardi! Welcome to Carnival’s newest ship, Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras’ first sailing was from Port Canaveral on July 31st, 2021 and we were on this sailing to bring you all the new content! Mardi Gras is the first of it's kind, bringing new innovation to both Carnival Cruise Line and the Cruise Industry as a whole! Mardi Gras is Carnival's first mega ship and now the largest in their fleet! It features six uniquely themed zones that will house an array of new restaurants, entertainment, lounges, and activities! Mardi Gras also is honored with the title of the first LNG ship in North America! We are on the first cruise ship (standard revenue sailing) to depart from Port Canaveral since the closure! Today is day two, a day at sea! We tried several new and big ticket items today! We started with a delicious lunch at Big Chicken (the new free quick service option featuring Shaq)! We then rode BOLT, the first rollercoaster at sea! It did cost us $15 per person to ride, but it was a fun ride with beautiful views! Another very anticipated dining venue onboard we tried today was ChiBang! (a Mexican and Chinese cuisine venue)! We did not have an enjoyable experience here. The food we had was disappointing and the service was disorganized. But it is still very early in it's operation existence, so hopefully it gets a bit better with time! We ended the day with some fantastic entertainment in the Mardi Gras Theatre, as well as our new favorite lounge, the Brass Magnolia, which can be found in the French Quarter! We hope you enjoyed this fun day, and that we see you back tomorrow for more fun! If you are interested in planing your own cruise vacation, we would love to assist you!
