The Carnival Victory has departed the United States for the very last time and is now heading towards Cadiz, Spain her much-anticipiated transformation into the Carnival Radiance. The vessel departed this week from PortMiami. She will begin a 38-day dry dock at the shipyard in Cadiz, Spain on March 19 with team members and contractors working around the clock to completely transform the 102,000-ton Carnival ship with new features and a new name, making her a totally new vessel. Carnival Radiance will offer eastern Caribbean and Bermuda sailings from the New York before repositioning to Norfolk in October 2020 and then finally Port Canaveral, Florida to sail Caribbean cruises starting on November 8, 2020. All this means the name Carnival Victory will be no more just like her sister ships the Carnival Destiny which was transformed into Carnival Sunshine in 2013 and the Carnival Triumph which was transformed into the Carnival Sunrise in 2019.
