CELEBRITY BEYOND Cruises Through An Intense Thunderstorm in Sicily

I am sailing on Celebrity Cruises’ brand new ship the Celebrity Beyond and we recently sailed through an intense thunderstorm. The Celebrity Beyond is like the Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge, but with many new additions to this new ship. The new cruise ship Celebrity Beyond is the brand new ship of Celebrity Cruises. The Beyond had her inaugural sailing in April 2022, followed by an inaugural season in the Mediterranean. Celebrity Beyond is captained by Captain Kate McCue and will be repositioned via a transatlantic in October 2022. The Celebrity Beyond will then be home-ported in Fort Lauderdale, where the new Celebrity Beyond will sail cruises to the Caribbean. In this short video, I show you an intense thunderstorm as Celebrity Beyond was departing from Sicily. Celebrity Beyond had been docked all day in Messina, Sicily, and as we departed the thunder began to roar and the lightning began to flash. Pretty soon Captain Kate had the Celebrity Beyond at full speed as we tried to outrun the intense thunderstorm. This 9-day voyage on Celebrity Beyond will visit Naples, Sicily, La Spezia, Santa Margherita, Nice, and Marseille. Celebrity Beyond will then disembark in Barcelona, Spain.
