Costa Cruises has committed to restarting cruising by September 6, and the Australian Government has just extended its ban on cruising until at least 17 December. Without a clear path forward and out of COVID-lockdowns, Australia risks damaging its economy further, especially when it comes to the burgeoning cruise industry. Billions of dollars has been sacrificed as well as thousands of jobs, and it seems like there's really no clear way out.
