Going on your first cruise soon? Here’s one of my best first-time cruise tips if you have the drink package. Whenever you order a drink, grab a bottled water too. Every few drinks, ask for a can of soda unopened. This helps you keep drinks in your cabin for later, especially if you wake up thirsty in the middle of the night or want something for the ride home after debarkation. Also, don’t forget: the pre-stocked minibar in your cabin usually is not included in your cruise fare or your drink package. If you do not plan on using it, ask your cabin steward to empty the minibar so you have room for the drinks you bring back yourself. This is a simple cruise hack, but it can save money and make your cruise a whole lot easier.
