CRUISE NEWS! Shipboard Account Problems. Regal Princess Update

Today I’m sharing lots of updates from onboard the beautiful Regal Princess, including entertainment, service, food, dry dock expectations, Galveston taxes, and some major Princess app glitches you’ll want to know about. 📱 Princess App Updates & Glitches Phone number entry issues (some are finally sticking!) Back-to-back cruises being incorrectly combined in the app A serious folio glitch where entire onboard accounts are switching between guests Please check your folio daily and let me know if you’re seeing this. 🍹 Texas Tax Rules for Cruisers When sailing from Galveston, drinks are taxed (8.25%) until reaching international waters. Drink menus and OceanNow beverage ordering are disabled until offshore Bars are limited while docked Plus/Premier packages activate only once at sea Princess is giving $25 OBC as a goodwill gesture for Plus/Premier guests 🎉 Champagne Waterfall & Love Boat Cruise Events We enjoyed a beautiful Champagne Waterfall and appearances from the original Love Boat cast. Some events are open to all guests, while others are part of a $410 “Captain’s Package.” The cast has been incredibly gracious and kind. 🎭 Entertainment Onboard Great theater shows including a magician and Charo Live music all over the ship “Gravity” is the party band onboard and doing an excellent job Comparing to Star Princess where Asian Soul was phenomenal 🍽️ Food & Service Service has been excellent, with standout crew members like George in the Symphony Dining Room and Rose in guest services and room service. Food has been very good overall — hit or miss in the main dining room, as usual, but many guests are loving their meals. 🛠️ Upcoming Dry Dock November 29–December 18 Based on what we’re seeing onboard, this dry dock looks like a refresh rather than major renovations: Carpets, soft furnishings, upholstery Paint and rust treatment Possibly mattresses and cabin fixtures Let me know what you notice if you’re sailing after the dry dock!
