On May 30th, the floating out of EXPLORA I (IMO 9869875) was celebrated on the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. She is the first of four cruise ships for Explora Journeys, MSC Cruises‘ luxury cruise brand. Completion is scheduled for the end of May 2023. A year later, in the summer of 2024, the EXPLORA II (IMO 9869887), whose construction has already begun, should also be completed. A modified version with an LNG drive is currently being tested for the construction of the EXPLORA III and IV (IMO 9869899 + IMO 9869904). Watch our video to see how EXPLORA I will look like!
