FREEDOM OF THE SEAS FULL SHIP TOUR 2022

The Princess and I were among the lucky ones to sail on the first, and only, cruise on this updated ship. We had an amazing time and want to share all of the changes with you. We cover the entire ship in our deck-by-deck Amplified Freedom of the Seas ship tour. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! ------AMPLIFIED FREEDOM OF THE SEAS SHIP TOUR------ Freedom of the Seas underwent a 100 million dollar renovation last year. Similar to other amplifications, this refurbishment included the addition of new public areas, restaurants, and activities. In addition, it also meant that several existing venues received some new design and décor. Like all of our tours, we start our Amplified Freedom of the Seas ship tour at the top of the ship then work our way down showcasing all of the public areas. So, for this tour, we start at deck 14 at the Viking Crown Lounge. ------ CHANGES MADE TO OUTDOOR DECKS ON FREEDOM OF THE SEAS------ On deck 13, there were several changes made to the outdoor areas. These changes included moving the mini golf course to deck 13 forward. The new Freedom Dunes offers more space for players. On Deck 13 aft, Royal Caribbean added a pair of water slides known as the Perfect Storm. Other changes made to the pool deck included some brand new loungers and casitas on deck 12 and the new Caribbean pool. This area includes new design elements, furnishings, and the addition of the Lime & Coconut bar. This 3-story bar offers signature Caribbean cocktails and is one of our new favorite bars at sea. For the little ones, the new Splashaway Bay was a big improvement over the former H20 Zone. This mini-waterpark is specifically designed for younger children. The cruise line also added two new dining venues during amplified Freedom of the Seas refurbishment in 2020. El Loco Fresh is a casual Mexican-style restaurant located aft on deck 11. There was also the addition of a new specialty restaurant, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen. We cover all of these new facilities, as well as other public areas on the outdoor decks, in our detailed Newly Amplified Freedom of the Seas ship tour. ------ MORE NEWLY AMPLIFIED FREEDOM OF THE SEAS CHANGES ------ Inside, Royal Caribbean made a massive update to Adventure Ocean. This children’s area received new activity centers, and teens also received a dedicated lounge with a private patio. The cruise line removed some public areas on the inside decks to add more staterooms and spruced up the Royal Promenade. Unfortunately, we did not find many updates to the cabins. We review all these changes in our Freedom of the Seas cruise ship tour. One of our favorite new additions to the amplified Freedom of the Seas was Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade. This specialty restaurant serves up a la carte pub favorites in a dynamic venue with plenty of arcade games and HD televisions broadcasting sporting events from around the world. During the amplification, Royal Caribbean added another specialty restaurant, Izumi Hibachi and Sushi on deck 4. In Studio B (deck 3), the cruise line added the family-friendly laser tag game, Clash for Crystal City, which is another great complimentary activity on Freedom of the Seas.
