Creator's Key Takeaways

I offered because there's a huge chunk of this show that can't exist without the piano.

I was learning the songs. Things were going okay, but I was quickly running out of time.

The moment that grounded me the most was seeing Stephanie in the second row.

I felt really grateful that the cast and the band and the techs had all trusted me with this.

Inside The Music - my vlog about all things relating to my multi-faceted music career and my life in general. February 6, 2026 Helping Close a Chapter | Musicology’s Final Performances On very short notice, I was asked to step in on piano for Musicology — a full-scale production show that’s been performed on this ship for years. The piano role in this show is significant, exposed, and essential. With the show scheduled and no replacement pianist available, I offered to help. I learned the music in a single day and joined the tech run and two performances — not to step into the spotlight, but to support the cast, band, and technical team as they closed an important chapter together. These weren’t just shows ending for dry dock. They were the final performances of Musicology on this ship — a home for so many talented people who have poured years of work into bringing this production to life. I was a guest in this process, welcomed with trust, generosity, and teamwork. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of the entire Musicology cast, the show band, the tech team, and our managers who made it possible. And I didn’t do this alone. Stephanie was there the entire time — checking in on me, encouraging me, and making sure I felt grounded and supported. As an incredible performer herself, she knows what it takes to step into something like this, and her presence meant more than I can easily put into words. This video is about showing up when it matters — and helping something meaningful end well. Thank you to everyone who trusted me with this moment.
