During your Disney cruise, you will have the opportunity to purchase a placeholder while onboard, which essentially means that you intend to cruise with DCL again within 2 years. Placeholders can ONLY be purchased while onboard. You do NOT have to book your next cruise while onboard, but if you have a placeholder, then when you’re ready to book your next DCL cruise, you’ll follow the directions on your placeholder to make your booking and you’ll receive 10% off that next DCL cruise. Placeholders, at present, cost $250, which goes toward the cost of that future cruise. As with all things, there are terms and conditions with placeholders. I think the major ones are that the future Disney cruise must be WITHIN 2 YEARS of the sailing on which you purchased the placeholder; placeholders ARE refundable; placeholders do NOT apply to Concierge-level bookings.
