YouTube Video Description

Welcome to Day 8 of the Island Princess Scottish and Wales Cruise. Today we are in Lerwick Shetland Islands. We anchored and took the tenders to Lerwick where we met our local guide. We left the town of Lerwick and drove to the Visitors Centre in Hoswick where we looked round the gift shop and look around the the town of Hoswick. Our next stop was the Jarlshof Prehistoric and Norse Settlement which is an archaeological site dating back from 2500 BC up to the 17th Century AD. It has several small houses with thick stone wall and various artefacts. I saw some shetland ponies when leaving the site. We drove back to Lerwick and we had a chance to look round before heading back to the ship. When we got back onboard the ship we headed to our cabin to relax before sail away. I want up on deck to watch sail away then I heading back to the cabin to get ready for dinner. Dinner was in the main dining room and was food and delicious as always, After dinner we headed to the Princess Theatre to watch tonights show then I headed to bed . Next Day is Invergordon (Inverness and Loch Ness) (Scotland)
