Creator's Key Takeaways

Overall, this hotel was a comfortable, affordable place to rest before my cruise.

Air conditioning worked beautifully and the room was clean and welldesigned and it had everything I needed for a short stay.

One of my favorite parts of this hotel was the small but very lovely rooftop terrace.

The selection was absolutely fantastic. There were plenty of local Greek breakfast options available.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Consider the hotel's location slightly outside main tourist areas when choosing where to stay.
Expect the lift to be small and quirky if traveling with multiple suitcases.
Note that some rooms include a balcony, but not all.

YouTube Video Description

Planning a stay in Athens before your cruise? In this video, I share my honest review of the Casual Kubic Hotel (formerly known as the Brown Kubic Hotel) — a modern, comfortable hotel located in the Omonia district of Athens. I’ll take you through the room tour, hotel amenities, breakfast options, and rooftop terrace, giving you an inside look at what to expect during your stay. From the stylish décor and fantastic air conditioning to the delicious Greek breakfast (yes, there are complimentary Bloody Marys in the morning!) this hotel offers plenty of value for the price. However, the location is something worth noting. Omonia isn’t the most scenic or tourist-friendly part of Athens, as a solo female traveller, I would advise exercising caution when moving around the Omonia area, particularly at night. I personally chose to take a taxi to and from the hotel for safety and convenience, and I’d recommend avoiding side streets after dark - instead, stick to the main roads and well-lit areas if staying here. Whether you’re staying in Athens before boarding your Piraeus cruise, or simply looking for a modern, affordable hotel in the city, this video will help you decide if the Cubic Hotel is the right fit for your trip. 👉 Watch next: my Athens cruise embarkation vlog, featuring what it’s really like setting sail from Piraeus! https://youtu.be/4LI_oDcYVeE?si=bSF-Bbn1IBDl7FXb 📍 Hotel: Cubic Hotel (Brown Hotels) – Omonia, Athens
