Lightning Storm at Sea!!! Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas | August 2021 #shorts

While traveling on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas this past weekend, we encountered a thunderstorm in the middle of the night! The wind was howling with lightning and thunderous booms! It might have been 3:30am but knew I didn't want to miss the Lightning Storm at Sea! Here is a short video of the one lightning strike I was able to capture right as it hit the sea. The good news! Most people love thunderstorms at sea and sleep right through them with the gentle rocking of the ship. During the day hours, the cruise ship's Captain will do all they can to avoid a storm or even a small rain shower. #shorts
