Magens Bay Beach St Thomas Tour, Waves & Snorkeling (4K)
YouTube Video Descriptionβ
We visited Magens Bay Beach in St Thomas, USVI (US Virgin Islands) in December 2017. Even though it was winter, the weather was terrific and the waters not too cold at all. We were on a Eastern Caribbean cruise on the MSC Divina which docked at Charlotte Amalie. Taxi was $8 per person one way. The drive was about 30 minutes long, with a stop in downtown. Admission is $5, with kids 12 and under being free. It opens from 8 AM to 5 PM. Magen's Bay Beach & Park were very fun. The waves there were quite enjoyable. The waters were not super clear, but if you have some bread crumbs, you can attract a lot of BIG fish as you can see in our video when you snorkel or simply dive down and look around for a short time. There are life guards just in case. Since our cruise ship had an all-aboard time of around 3:30 PM, to be extra safe we left at around 2:40 PM just in case of traffic which can happen on the narrow hilly road back.
