Creator's Key Takeaways
I booked a veranda suite and was upgraded, which was a very pleasant surprise.
What I love about this cabin is the amount of space. It's huge. It's about four times the size of the other cabin, and I really, really appreciate that.
The best news is that with a Neptune Suite, it says, 'Complimentary laundry.' That is music to my ears.
It's got a his and hers sink, but still, it's got a bathtub, which is such a rarity for a cruise ship.

WARNING: This suite comes with perks which, once you've experienced them, you might well always long for in the future!!! It's not every day (or cruise) that you get to stay in a suite like the Neptune Suite on Holland America's new cruise ship the MS Rotterdam. But on my recent voyage I was lucky to be upgraded to one from my verandah/balcony cabin (I've also done a tour and inside look at that stateroom to help you compare and contrast). This video offers a tour and inside look at Neptune Suite #7115 which is on Deck 7, mid-ship and very well placed for the elevators and access to the Neptune Lounge (one of the perks of staying in a Neptune Suite). This suite/cabin has stunning decor and an amazing amount of space, cabin storage and nice touches, which include a WHOPPING balcony. I've never had such a huge balcony and could get very used to this life. There was also a bath tub in the bathroom (complete with Jacuzzi jets) and a shower twice the size of the average shower. And other perks (all detailed in the video) include being entitled to unlimited free laundry as well as access to Club Orange, a small restaurant JUST for Neptune Suite guests. This was a particularly nice touch during a pandemic and helped escape the crowds of the larger/busier main dining room. And of course I do my usual bed test. The only problem with being upgraded is that I'm now spoiled for life and may long for a Neptune Suite when in truth my bank balance can only stretch to a verandah cabin!!
