Day 4 aboard MSC Meraviglia brought us to Nassau, Bahamas! 🇧🇸 This morning I grabbed my cappuccino and took a leisurely walk around the ship, including a little secret outdoor area on Deck 7 by the non-smoking casino — a peaceful spot most people don’t know about where you can walk almost the length of the ship and enjoy stunning ocean views away from the crowds. We enjoyed lunch in the dining room before heading off the ship into port. 🚢 From there we grabbed a taxi and headed over to Ardastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Centre info in the heart of Nassau. 🌿 About Ardastra Gardens: Ardastra Gardens is a unique wildlife conservation centre and tropical garden spanning lush acres, home to over 200 animals including reptiles, birds and mammals. It’s best known for its world-famous trained “marching flamingos” — the national bird of the Bahamas — and daily shows where these beautiful pink birds parade on command. 🦩 The Islands of The Bahamas Originally created in 1937 by Jamaican horticulturist Hedley Edwards, the gardens were later developed into a zoo and conservation centre. Today visitors can wander the scenic paths, see exotic plant life and animals up close, and enjoy interactive experiences like feeding parrots or learning about wildlife care. 🦜 Ardastra Gardens - General entrance fees are very affordable (around $35 USD for adults and $25 USD for kids — with little ones often free), and the centre offers multiple daily flamingo showtimes. 🇧🇸 The Islands of The Bahamas After our amazing day exploring the gardens, watching the flamingo show, and checking out all the plants and animals, we even stopped for a quick hair braiding session at the shopping center before heading back to the ship.
