I was shocked to get the news today about the collapse of the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore, Maryland. I immediately remembered that I had sailed under that very same bridge during a cruise I did with American Cruise Lines. I checked my files to find the information about that cruise, and was REALLY shocked to discover a really weird coincidence: The day I sailed under that bridge was exactly one year before the day it collapsed. The collapse of the bridge occurred on March 26, 2024, and the day I sailed under that bridge was March 26, 2023. That really boggles my mind! My heart goes out to the families of all the people who died in that tragic bridge collapse. Also, I assume that it will disrupt traffic in the Baltimore area for years until a new bridge can be constructed. It's a tragic situation. My thoughts are with all of those who are affected by it.
