Creator's Key Takeaways

MSC Seascape is the newest Mega to set sail and of course the wife and I had to get on board to test out the ship for ourselves

the production quality did not come close to shows on newer ships in the Royal Caribbean or Norwegian Cruise Line Fleet

the specialty restaurants were well worth the upcharge

Creator's Tips & Advice

βœ“Purchase a dining package for specialty restaurants if you're a foodie
βœ“Visit the buffet early to avoid crowds

πŸ†•New to Cruising? This Creator Addresses:

Finding space on busy sea days β€” The ship has multiple pool areas spread across decks, so you can find a quieter spot
Navigating the buffet β€” The buffet can be chaotic; look for the custom egg station at the aft for better options

Chief among them is the pool deck. Honestly, we liked the pool deck on MSC Seascape, as there are several pools with different themes available. We tended to enjoy the adults only Infinity Pool, aft on Deck 8. But, there is also the family-friendly Jungle Pool on Deck 16 and the Marina Pool on Deck 18 which is considered the main pool. Further, the Yacht Club has its own pool and sundeck with a private bar, whirlpools, and plenty of loungers. Another aspect of MSC Cruises' newest ship that we liked is the sports deck. On Deck 20 aft, there is the sports court that is home to basketball and soccer competitions. There is also the Pirates Cove waterpark on Deck 18. With three slides, a kids splash area, and the adventure trail, this complimentary activity is fun for all ages. There are also up-charge experiences on the MSC Seascape cruise ship, including the newest thrill ride at sea, the Robotron, as well as the Hall of Games. This area has several exciting VR attractions that are among the most thrilling at sea. MSC SEASCPE DINING For this MSC Seascape cruise review, we tested out dining at the casual restaurants, the main dining room, and several specialty restaurants. Overall, we were a bit disappointed in the casual dining. The Marketplace buffet on Deck 16 is the only casual option. This venue is large but not well organized, and it can get busy at peak times. Further, the food quality was just okay, and we expected more diversity from a mega ship. The same could be said about the main dining room. I did enjoy several of my entrees and thought they were on par with the competition. But, many of the starters and desserts were not very memorable. The service in the main dining room was also just average at best. When reviewing MSC Seascape, we did feel the specialty restaurants were superb. I was a big fan of the Butcher's Cut. This steakhouse ranks among the best at sea with a perfectly seared steak and rich and hearty sides and desserts. Hola Tacos and Cantina is a fun, casual spot that's great for lunch or dinner as well. Serving a variety of Mexican small plates and margaritas, it is a nice option to dine with some friends. Finally, Kaito Teppanyaki delivered a traditional hibachi dinner experience. This meal and show served up freshly prepared cuts of steak, seafood, and chicken with accompaniments like fried rice and miso soup. MSC SEASCAPE CRUISE ENTERTAINMENT On our MSC Seascape cruise, we are happy to report that there were a variety of daytime and night time activities. These included staples like trivia, dance classes, and plenty of live music throughout the ship. The ship also hosted several parties and a DJ for the late night crowd. For this review of MSC Seascape, we made sure to attend all the signature shows. Our favorites were Premiere and Love Blossoms. Although, we expected a bit more, as the shows were not the same caliber as competitor cruise lines like NCL and RCI. The ship also features a nightly variety show in Le Cabaret Rouge. We did enjoy this dynamic venue; however, the acts got a bit repetitive.
