Creator's Key Takeaways
The Bliss is a great ship. You should be so excited if you signed up for a voyage on the Bliss.
If you're willing to be flexible in your day, you're going to have a lot less stress.
I think the buy 1 get 1, it was an absolute recommend.
I have to say... this was probably my favorite experience at La Cucina.

Day 2 on the Norwegian Bliss (Mexican Riviera) — Sea Day Tips, Food Republic Breakdown, Spa Time + La Cucina Review It’s our first full sea day on the Norwegian Bliss, and we’re sharing the best time-saving tips to help you actually enjoy your cruise instead of sprinting around stressed. We start the morning in the Observation Lounge for coffee, light bites, and planning with the Freestyle Daily—plus we point out a noticeable change since the last dry dock (the lounge doesn’t wrap around the ship anymore). For breakfast, we head to Taste/Savor and talk about a classic NCL mistake: missing the sit-down breakfast because it closes earlier than you expect. Then we take advantage of one of the best deals on the ship—BOGO specialty dining—and reshuffle reservations to squeeze in more value. We also do a quick “ship store price check” (Band-Aids, Tylenol, seasickness meds… and why the ship doctor is the real sticker shock). Then we walk the waterfront, hit the spa, and share a big cruising lesson: flexibility = less stress. Later, we give you a full breakdown of Food Republic—how the tablets work, what you get for the cover charge, and whether it’s worth it at full price vs. during a promotion. After a busy sea day lunch hunt (American Diner wait times vs reality), we land at The Local and share a tip about ordering drinks in the can if you don’t want ice. The night includes a Latitudes loyalty event, a surprisingly great all-ages comedy show, and (of course) the ever-popular Effy raffle. We finish strong with an outdoor dinner at La Cucina—calamari, carbonara, spicy linguine, Prosecco—and give it a 5/5 (our best La Cucina experience across multiple NCL ships). Then it’s karaoke, piano bar chaos, and a calm wind-down back in the Observation Lounge—binoculars included. If you’re sailing the Bliss soon, this one’s packed with real-world sea day strategy, dining hacks, and what’s actually worth your time.
