We have got a huge cruise news update for you. The CDC has lifted the no sail order in the United States. They brought out a huge document with recommendations and requirements for the cruise lines. We are going to share all the details around that and more in today's cruise news video. So far cruise news 2020 has been pretty sad but today we have got a positive story for you. We have all been waiting and hoping for the CDC no sail order to be lifted. The CDC has a new conditional no sail order where cruise lines need to get a certificate to resume sailing in the US. There will be a three phrased approach: 🦩 Phase 1 - Establishment of laboratory testing onboard and pre/post embarkation 🦩 Phase 2 - Simulated voyages to test the cruise operators ability to mitigate COVID19 🦩 Phase 3 - The new certification process This is big cruise ship news for companies which run out of the United States. There has been successful cruising in Europe this summer and they did not require simulated voyages. If you are someone who is interested in being on a simulated voyage, there is some cruise ship booking information you will want to be aware of. Passengers must be 18 or older and must have written certification from you healthcare provider that volunteer passengers have no pre existing medical conditions making you high risk for COVID. Here is a list of some of the simulations that will be conducted: 🦩 Embarkation and Disembarkation 🦩 On board activities 🦩 Private island shore excursions 🦩 Evacuation procedures 🦩 Transferring a symptomatic passenger or crew from cabins to isolation rooms 🦩 Quarantine of all remaining passengers and non-essential crew 🦩 Anything else the CDC wants to test As we think about when will cruises resume it is also important to consider what the experience will be like. Within the CDCs requirements there are 8 expectations that will directly affect you as a passenger. We go through all the 8 mandates. It is also pivotal as the old CDC no sail order ends that we thoroughly review the new requirements that will be put in place. One requirement that we did not see in Europe, is that if there is a positive case all passengers must quarantine. I wonder if passengers will get any compensation for their cruise ending early. We hope that you liked our cruise industry news update. Would you go on a simulated cruise? What do you think of the new requirements? Are there any cruise news stories you would like us to cover?
