The addition of Pacific Encounter to the P&O Australia fleet brings the number of ships sailing for the local line to 2. Pacific Adventure, sister ship to Encounter will join the line in October. Pacific Encounter is the ex Star Princess, and her arrival debuts the Grand Class of ships for P&O Australia. As usual, P&O have renovated many of the public spaces onboard, adding their classic entertainment spaces, The Blue Room, The Encounter Hotel, Black Circus and more. The ship debuts a new venue for P&O called Altitude. Situated aft and perched high on Deck 18, the lounge/nightclub spans the width of the entire ship and is situated high above the adults only Oasis. There are plenty of new features to enjoy on-board Pacific Encounter including the Byron Beach Club reserved exclusively for occupants of Byron Mini Suites and all full suites, plus a new indoor family pool area. As far as dining goes, get ready for speedy pizza with Gradi Pronto, the express poolside version of 400 Gradi. Plus Luke’s casual fare is also available pool side for delicious, premium, burgers, hot dogs and more. Classic dining venues like Angelo’s, Dragon Lady, the Waterfront and The Pantry are all back plus several new additions like Lily’s and Luke’s Bar & Grill.
