We are having a fabulous day at the pool at Iberostar Quetzal in Playa del Carmen, Mexico!! This pool is HUGE!!! And deep... and freezing cold in January! But once you are in you quickly get adjusted to the temperature. The good thing about it being cold is that there were very few people in the pool so we felt like we had it to ourselves! One really cool thing they do here is FREE intro scuba lessons in the pool! These are certified dive instructors who provide your first lesson at no charge. How cool is that?? The boys had a great time and now have a real interest in getting certified. Another thing we love about this resort is the wildlife that is everywhere! There are howler monkeys in the trees that swing around during the day and start howling when the sunsets. We were fascinated by them! But there are also peacocks, coutimundi and other critters that I can't remember their names...
