Princess Cruises, Sky Princess - New York Part One

Last Autumn we sailed on Sky Princess to Canada, New England and New York for a 25 night itinerary with and overnight stay in New York. Sadly due to Hurricane Fiona, we lost two Canadian ports of call so instead the Captain arranged for us to arrive in NY a day earlier than planned enabling us to have two nights in this great city. Many guests booked hotels in Manhattan as the ship was berthed in Brooklyn. We stayed at friends house in Manhattan, which meant we had made the most of our time ashore. Part one covers our first day in NY sampling the local flavours of the city including Chinatown, Little Italy, a NY deli and an old fashioned Ale House. We walked from Pier 11 Wall Street to Mid Manhattan and covered approx 8 miles on foot. The ship was berthed in Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, so be sure to download the ferry app before you leave the UK and register your credit card, as once in America you can only buy online if you have Apple or Google Pay. With 3300 cruise passengers trying to get a ticket, this caused major queues and delays. Please note, this was our own personal holiday and these pictures and videos were taken by myself.
