It has been a few years since I had visited Half Moon Cay, but it is still one of my favorite private islands! This year Carnival Corporation announced it will be expanding this private island and adding a pier and dock on the north end to accommodate the larger Excel Class Carnival ships as well as building new food and other facilities to handle the added guest capacity! Although construction has just begun, I hope it does not take away from the relaxing personality of this island! From what I am told the south side of the island will still be a "tender" only for the smaller ships.
