I recently enjoyed a mini-cruise on Regal Princess from Southampton in the UK to Rotterdam in Holland (aka the Netherlands!) This video gives a full ship tour of the cruise ship Regal Princess (sister ship to Royal Princess which was christened by Kate Middleton (aka the Duchess of Cambridge). It gives an overview of the ship, inside and out. Outside amenities include the swimming pools (one adult only), hot tubs, big screen, jogging track, outdoor gym, sports court, mini-golf and driving range. Then it moves indoors to the cabin - I was upgraded to a mini-suite and have done another video offering an in-depth tour which focuses just on that. I also explore the ship's bars, the dazzling 3-storey atrium and its entertainment. This ranged from shows in the ship's theatre (musicals, comedy and a hypnotist) to live music venues to a fountain music and light show on top deck. Regal Princess also has what's called the 'Sea Walk' - a scary glass walkway which cantilevers over the edge of the ship. Walking across it and seeing the sea beneath your feet is giddying, disconcerting and a bit of fun. Then there's the Medallion - Princess Cruises' own touchless technology - a disc which opens doors, pays for things and helps food to be delivered to you wherever you are on the ship. It's a wonderful, hands-free accessory. Then I look in depth at Princesses exclusive 'Luxury Beds' and put mine to the test. How do I rate it? Watch the video to find out. Last but not least, I look at the ship's cuisine. Food is nice in all restaurants - including the buffet, but I particularly liked two specialty restaurants: Italian restaurant Sabatini's (whose mushroom risotto was out of this world) and the Crown Grill steakhouse, where ordering a filet mignon is a must. My in depth cabin review of my mini-suite has already been posted.
